Born and raised in China, she lived in her hometown, Wuhan, for 25 years before moving to Singapore in 2009. In 2011, she completed a diploma in Chinese Language Teaching at the Confucius Institute of Nanyang Technological University. She became certified to teach Mandarin to speakers of other languages in 2019.

Her passion for teaching Mandarin led me to develop my own Mandarin textbooks, which have been accepted for publication by Beijing University Publishing House. In 2024, she reached another milestone in her career — she earned her CELTA certification.

This year, she is proud to be the Mandarin teacher for Grades 1, 4, and 5, as well as the EAL teacher for Grade 3. Teaching two languages is a daily challenge, but it is one that she is honoured to take on. She strives to create a community of learners, fostering growth in a positive and engaging environment.

On a personal note, she has been happily married for 14 wonderful years and has two amazing children, aged 11 and 3. As a family, we love outdoor activities such as hiking and swimming. She also enjoys reading, cooking, music, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her friends and family.
