Kareem is a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities teacher from the United States. He is originally from Chicago, Illinois and has spent the last seven years teaching abroad in Qatar, Taiwan, and now Singapore. His specialties are History, Global Perspectives and Middle Year Humanities. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a BA, and holds multiple teaching qualifications and certificates from the American state of Wisconsin.

Kareem’s classroom philosophy is one of balancing student engagement with expectations, as well as blending rigorous and dense material with enjoyable exercise and activities to encourage students to view the subject matter beyond what is just on the page. He believes it is essential for students to be able to receive their lessons in a safe environment where they are encouraged to speak their minds.
