Savitha Santosh Nair
Class Teacher
Savitha Nair is an experienced PYP educator based in Singapore, holding a Bachelor’s degree in education, with specialisations in English and Science. She began her teaching career as a primary homeroom teacher in an international school, accumulating a decade of valuable experience.
Savitha holds certificates in TESOL and Understanding Dyslexia from the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Additionally, she earned a Cambridge Diploma in teaching and pursued the International Educator Certificate for IB Qualification Programme at the University of Windsor. Furthering her education, Savitha completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Nottingham.
In the classroom, Savitha prioritises creating an environment that fosters freedom of expression. Her focus centres on cultivating independent thinking skills, emphasising collaboration, and encouraging mutual respect among students. She believes in instilling an appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives, promoting diversity as a key aspect of the learning experience.
Having had a wonderful journey working at Etonhouse, Orchard, Savitha looks forward to new opportunities for meaningful discussions, engaging collaborations, and facilitating a positive learning journey with her students at Middleton. Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in activities such as gardening, practising yoga, and watching documentaries on Netflix. Her commitment to teaching is evident, and she aims to contribute positively to the learning community at Middleton.
