Yeap Siaw Phing graduated from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia with a degree in Chinese Studies and later completed her Master’s in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at Minzu University of China in Beijing.

With extensive experience in Mandarin language education, Siaw Phing has dedicated over a decade to teaching at the secondary school level. She spent three and a half years at an international school in Ipoh before returning to her hometown, Penang, where she continued teaching at another international school for two and a half years. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught Mandarin across various curricula, including the Malaysian curriculum for Mandarin (SPM Mandarin), IGCSE Chinese as a First Language, Second Language, and Foreign Language. Prior to that, she spent six years teaching the Malaysian Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Mandarin syllabus and the IGCSE Mandarin syllabus at a Chinese Independent High School in Penang. Her extensive background in Mandarin education has equipped her with strong expertise in preparing students for IGCSE Mandarin exams.

Beyond teaching, Siaw Phing enjoys outdoor activities such as running and hiking. She also appreciates quiet moments at home, where she spends time reading books and watching TV dramas with her family. She looks forward to contributing her valuable experience to the students.
